Well Wishes for the Future
A public artwork created for Elevate Atlanta that transformed a city dumpster into a space for collective reflection.
Project overview
Created for Elevate Atlanta, the project reimagined an industrial container as a shared public interface for civic imagination.
Titled Well Wishes for the Future of an Ever-Growing Metropolis, the work invited people to answer a simple prompt: "This is your Atlanta. What is your wish?"
Over 843 handwritten messages were collected in just seven days—on business cards, napkins, receipts, and torn notebook scraps—creating a poetic archive of Atlanta's collective future longings.
The piece reflected Elevate 2014's theme, Social City, and asked how art might encourage deeper human connection inside a rapidly expanding metropolis.
